Role: EcoSys Functional Consultant / Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Role Overview
- Act as the EcoSys Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for configuration implementation governance and continuous improvement of EcoSys across projects.
- Provide strategic guidance ensure standardization and enable effective use of EcoSys to support project controls and EPC project execution.
- Bridge business requirements and system capabilities by acting as both a functional advisor and technical owner throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Implementation & Configuration
- Set up and configure projects structures and users in EcoSys in alignment with global standards and project requirements.
- Translate project controls and business requirements into EcoSys functional design and configuration.
- Support the Project Information Manager in planning and coordinating Project Delivery Systems implementation and integration.
- Deliver functional walkthroughs training sessions and system demonstrations to project teams.
- Maintain strong working relationships with project teams to ensure objectives are met and solutions remain effective.
2. Functional Advisory & Governance (SME Layer)
- Act as a functional advisor on EcoSys best practices to achieve project controls objectives.
- Define maintain and enforce EcoSys standards templates and governance frameworks across project locations.
- Review and approve complex configurations change requests and system usage approaches.
- Ensure alignment between project execution needs and EcoSys system capabilities.
- Provide guidance during project start-up execution and close-out phases.
3. Project & User Support
- Provide EcoSys system support through ServiceNow including incident resolution troubleshooting and user assistance.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and optimize system usage.
- Monitor system usage to ensure compliance with global standards and effective EcoSys adoption.
- Perform system health checks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support project closeout with documented lessons learned.
- Provide support for interfaces including training troubleshooting and data validation.
4. New Release Testing & Deployment Management
- Lead testing of EcoSys modules and interfaces aligned with global configuration standards.
- Perform business impact assessments for system upgrades and new releases.
- Coordinate with the EcoSys vendor for issue resolution and defect closure.
- Plan and support production rollouts including user communication readiness planning and change management.
- Monitor post-deployment performance and manage stabilization activities.
5. Integration & Data Flow Management
- Provide functional guidance on integration design and data flow between EcoSys and external systems (Primavera P6 SAP/ERP Aconex).
- Support validation and troubleshooting of system interfaces.
- Ensure data accuracy consistency and completeness.
- Collaborate with interface owners to resolve data mapping issues and maintain system interoperability.
6. Systems Knowledge & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain expertise across EcoSys modules project controls processes and EPC project execution workflows.
- Evaluate new system functionality for business adoption.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity reporting and data visibility.
- Contribute to the EcoSys system roadmap and strategic improvement planning.
- Maintain a high-level understanding of external systems particularly from an integration and data-flow perspective.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience Requirements
- 5 years of hands-on EcoSys configuration administration and support experience.
- 10 years of experience in application configuration support or EPC/project controls environments.
- Experience in Oil & Gas or EPC industry project delivery.
- Experience managing system upgrades rollouts and post-deployment stabilization.
