This supervisory position provides leadership and oversight for a Family Assistance unit responsible for delivering essential programs such as SNAP FITAP KCSP and STEP. - Minimum Qualifications
Six years of economic stability social services experience; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of economic stability social services experience; OR
A bachelors degree plus three years of economic stability social services experience; OR
An advanced degree in a social sciences field business public or health administration plus two years of economic stability social services experience.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.- Job Specification

- Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Supervises Social Services Analysts by providing training resolving staff and client concerns approving leave and conducting performance planning and evaluations.
Reviews eligibility cases for accuracy timeliness and compliance across multiple assistance programs including SNAP FITAP KCSP and STEP.
Conducts quality assurance reviews identifies error trends develops corrective action plans and provides individualized training to improve staff performance and program accuracy.
Interprets policies and procedures provides guidance to staff on complex eligibility situations and develops and delivers training on program requirements and updates.
Prepares and analyzes statistical and management reports to evaluate unit performance identify service gaps and recommend improvements to administrative processes and procedures.
Builds relationships with community providers and partner organizations to strengthen referral networks address client needs and promote program participation through outreach activities.
Supports emergency preparedness and disaster response efforts by maintaining required training assisting with disaster benefit programs and providing support at emergency shelters and evacuation operations.

Compensation:This position is eligible for the following Special Entrance Rates (SER) as well as a Premium Pay of up to $2.00/hr for hours worked based on longevity.
