- Local Candidates: $50$56/hour
- Travel Candidates: $60$66/hour (Including Stipend)
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Echo Technician for a contract assignment in Brooklyn NY. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
This role requires excellent technical skills clinical judgment and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians nursing staff and other healthcare professionals while ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic imaging services.
- Perform comprehensive echocardiograms including M-mode 2D Doppler (pulse wave continuous wave and color flow) contrast and stress echocardiography
- Complete echo worksheets and perform accurate measurements and calculations
- Evaluate adult and geriatric patients while considering physiological and anatomical differences
- Assist physicians during cardiac diagnostic procedures and testing
- Educate patients by explaining procedures and addressing questions or concerns
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation within the medical record system
- Ensure proper cleaning maintenance and readiness of echocardiography equipment
- Maintain a clean organized and adequately stocked work environment
- Support orientation and training of students or new staff when required
- Participate in continuing education and maintain current registry credentials
- Follow all hospital policies patient safety standards and quality assurance protocols
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience as an Echo Technician / Echocardiographer
- Current Echocardiography Registry Certification required
- Current BLS Certification through AHA required
- Associates Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field required
- Bachelors Degree in Science or related field preferred
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy physiology and echocardiography procedures
- Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift position and assist patients safely in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in operating echocardiography and ultrasound equipment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume environment
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent patient care skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and hospital workflows
