Early Literacy Coach

Nemours Childrens Health is seeking an Early Literacy Coach to join our team in Wilmington Delaware.

This full-time positionsupports the work affiliated with Nemours Childrens Healths Ginsburg Institute and advances early literacy goals of the department and the health system. The position reports to the manager responsible for the Nemours Childrens Reading BrightStart! (NCRBS!) team. The individual in the position will provide professional development coaching and resources to enhance teaching practices and improve student outcomes among entities using the NCRBS! curricula. This person will ensure administrators at schools and early learning centers that purchase and implement NCRBS! curricula and educators who will present the lessons are confident and competent in using tracking and assessing use of materials with young learners. The position is focused on supporting NCRBS! users in the 19802-zip code and surrounding zip codes in DE. The position requires frequent travel throughout the specified region (Delaware) for meetings and events with stakeholders as well as intermittent travel in the U.S. for conference presentations and meetings with colleagues in other service areas.

Nemours Childrens Reading BrightStart! is a collection of products and resources used by educators parents and other adults to build early language literacy skills of infants and children from birth to age five. Details are available at Requirements

• A masters degree is required preferably in the field of Education. Active pursuit of masters degree will be considered at leadership discretion.
• 5 years of experience in Early Childhood Education Pre-K or Primary required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a trainer or serving in a leadership role (grade level lead etc.).
• Should have experience with mentoring and/or coaching educators in classroom ideal candidate will have an energetic and engaging interpersonal style strong communication skills and possess a high level of motivation and positive have the ability to work with multiple levels of professionals including subject matter experts and senior leaders.

Preferred:

• Emergent Literacy and/or Language Development Microcredential

• Teachstone CLASS certification (Infant/Toddler or PreK-3rd)

• Reading Literacy or Dyslexia Endorsement
