Job Summary

Early Learning Assistant/Floater

The YMCA of Collier County is seeking a caring energetic and reliable Early Learning Assistant/Floater to support our Early Learning Program serving children ages 2-5 years at our Marco Island Branch. This position works closely with teachers and program leadership to provide a safe nurturing and engaging environment where children can learn grow and thrive.

Schedule:
This position typically works MondayFriday 9:00 AM3:00 PM. For the right candidate with broader availability there may be an opportunity to expand into a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with classroom activities curriculum implementation and daily routines.
  • Provide attentive supervision to ensure childrens safety and well-being at all times.
  • Support classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Help maintain accurate attendance and developmental records.
  • Prepare classrooms and playground areas for daily activities and assist with cleaning and organization.
  • Communicate positively with parents and families sharing updates and celebrating childrens successes.
  • Assist with Kid Zone coverage and serve as a substitute when lead teachers are absent.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Maintain YMCA policies procedures and standards while supporting the YMCAs mission and values.

  • Must be willing to obtain state mandated 45 hours within 90 days of hire.
  • Applicant must be over 18 years of age with reliable transportation and must be able to pass a national background and drug screening clearance.
