Location: Redmond Bend Prineville
Compensation: $21.38/hour (plus .50 for Bilingual Spanish) - Union represented
Hours: 40 hours/week depending on location subject to normal school year furloughs

NeighborImpacts Early Head Start Overview
NeighborImpacts Early Head Start program provides comprehensive early childhood education and family support services to families with children from birth to age three as well as pregnant women. Early Head Start aims to foster school readiness and social competence ensuring children and families receive the necessary resources and support during the critical early years.
Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The role of an Early Head Start Center Aide is a dynamic position essential for the smooth operation of the center-based facility by integrating all program services in a classroom of up to 8 children. Responsibilities include: the preparation and serving of nutritious meals to children maintaining cleanliness and order within the center and stepping in to provide relief for other staff members during their breaks. This position requires a compassionate individual with a keen eye for safety and the ability to foster a nurturing environment for our youngest charges.
Required
- Must be able to promote positive communications within and outside Early Head Start
- Frequent kneeling stooping bending and sitting on the floor to attend to childrens needs required. This position is rated as active and occasionally requires the individual to lift 50 pounds
- Must have an initial health examination and a periodic re-examination (as recommended by health care provider) so as to assure that employees do not because of communicable diseases pose a significant risk to the health or safety of others that cannot be eliminated or reduced by reasonable accommodation.
- Required prior to date of hire and throughout employment:
- Food Handlers Card
- Current enrollment in the OR Child Care Division-Criminal History Registry (CBR)
- Access to reliable transportation
- Within 60 days of hire Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification is required
- Above certifications must be kept current to remain employed
Preferred
- Preference for infant and toddler experience with an Early Head Start or similar program
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Head Start parent or past parent preferred
