Early Childhood Special Education

The Goodhue County Education District (GCED) provides collaborative educational services to the six member school districts located in Goodhue County in southeastern Minnesota. Across the county GCED supports approximately 7000 students. The district employs over 150 staff members and is recognized for its strong partnerships with partnering school districts and community service agencies to deliver specialized and innovative programming. Core services include a Federal Setting IV Special Education program an 1821 Transition Program Title III/Multilingual Learner programming Alternative Education programs and regional support for Perkins/Career and Technical Education. GCED also operates 5RiversOnline a comprehensive online learning program and provides specialized services such as Early Childhood Special Education and low-incidence disability support including Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Blind/Visually Impaired services.
