Job Summary
The Opportunity:
Lead Project Manager will oversee all internal litigation support projects for the Litigation Support office. This person must have experience as a PM in a technical office and be familiar with project management concepts and should have a basic understanding of E-Discovery practice and litigation support. The selected LPM will: Plan and execute case management strategies ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of support services.
Responsibilities:
Develop document and maintain overall project plans and schedules that adhere to defined policies.
Implement project management services in accordance with policies.
Participate in the continuous improvement cycle by recommending improvements to project management policies processes and procedures.
Organize and manage project staff into a cohesive team to achieve mission goals and performance objectives.
Assist Government project managers in developing updating and maintaining project plans and schedules as required.
Manage projects based on requirements specific to the agency and the principles of the Project Management Institute (PMI) the industry standard for project management training and certification.
Identify issues and risks to project success develop risk management tracking log and log all identified issues / risks in the log along with issue/risk mitigation recommendations / plans and facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation as required by the Government.
Provide other project management support services as it relates to ALS.
Provide Project Management Deliverables as part of the governance process.
Review and update the data collection templates quarterly to reflect changes in the environment.
Implement any legal regulatory or contractual information security requirements that are applicable and inform FRD of any additional or changed requirements.
Provide periodic security and compliance reporting guidelines.
Provide security and compliance reports as required.
Provide support for application assessments including audit activities audit issue management services and closure of issues after audit.
Participate in the continuous improvement cycle by recommending improvements to innovation policies processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
6 years of progressively more responsible experience in major litigation support projects including at least one year of Project Manager experience or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to manage numerous complex and time-critical litigation support activities simultaneously including technical/data processing support activities and cases involving e-discovery.
Demonstrated ability to interact with attorneys on complex support activities. Requires expert knowledge of litigation support; outstanding writing skills; outstanding oral communication skills; outstanding management skills.
Strong technical background as demonstrated through user level knowledge of eDiscovery tools and data management.
Demonstrated working knowledge of the Governments and Contractors IT environment in which the work is to be performed as well as Contractors standard solutions for eDiscovery e.g. Clearwell Relativity etc.
Must be able to anticipate litigation support needs and develop and execute detailed plans for addressing needs.
Requires knowledge of the Governments data processing environment in which the work is to be performed including office automation networks PC-based databases and other applications and internet and server-based databases and other applications such as Oracle Relativity or other document review platform Trial Director etc.
Undergraduate degree required.
E-Discovery experience required
Relativity and Analytics experience required.
Desired:
Law degree advanced technical certification or other pertinent graduate degrees preferred.
Demonstrated criminal law experience and/or background namely working on criminal matters to include financial crimes and compliance cases.
Demonstrated experience handling financial records health care materials and other related litigation files.
