Position Summary:
The Dyslexia Paraeducator works under the supervision of the Dyslexia Therapist to deliver intervention services using a structured literacy program. This role focuses on providing small group or individual support to students with dyslexia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement dyslexia intervention programs as directed by the Dyslexia Therapist.
- Provide small group or one-on-one instruction to students receiving services.
- Monitor and document student progress under the guidance of the Dyslexia Therapist.
- Assist with materials preparation and classroom organization for intervention sessions.
- Participate in training sessions to develop and maintain proficiency in delivering dyslexia programs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree preferred.
- Experience working with students in an instructional capacity particularly in reading intervention.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
