CTECS is seeking a passionate and student-focused Durational Physical Education / Health Instructor to join our dedicated team of this rewarding role you will help students develop the knowledge skills and confidence needed to lead healthy active lives while fostering teamwork resilience and lifelong wellness.
As a CTECS Physical Education and Health Instructor you will deliver engaging standards-based instruction using innovative teaching practices that promote active learning and student success. You will create a positive inclusive classroom environment where all learners are encouraged to reach their full potential through student-centered instruction differentiated learning physically engaging activities educational technology and current instructional strategies. You will also build strong partnerships with families collaborate with colleagues and participate in ongoing professional learning to continuously enhance your instructional practice.

To be considered for this position PE/Health Instructors must possess the following certification and license:
- 043 (Health) & 044 (Physical Education) certifications

Position Highlights
- Durational Position: 2026-2027 School year with an end date of June 30th 2027
- Schedule: first shift full time (35 hours per week)Monday - Friday.
- Location:Howell Cheney Technical High School in Danbury CT.
- Academic Calendar:CTECS follows a ten-month academic calendar(188 days per year.)

For over 100 years CTECS has been the leading force in Career Technical Education (CTE) in the State of Connecticut. CTECS operates 17 diploma-granting technical high schools one technical education center and two airframe mechanics and aircraft maintenance programs. The school system provides a direct employment pipeline for high school students and adult learners.
