DSP

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities including those with potential behavioral support needs. 
• Assist with activities of daily living household cleaning meal preparation shopping budgeting personal goals appointments community activities and engagement. 
• Maintain a clean safe and supportive living environment. 
• Promote independence personal choice and life skills development. 
• Support individuals in achieving goals and objectives outlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress accordingly. 
• Observe and communicate changes concerns and progress to supervisors and team members. 
• Transport individuals to appointments activities and community outings as needed. 
• Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation in accordance with program and regulatory requirements. 

Qualifications :

Required (Must-Have) 

• Minimum of 18 years of age 
• Valid drivers license and proof of auto insurance 
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication 
• Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English 
• Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs) 

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to stand walk bend or squat for extended periods 
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs 

Skills & Abilities 

• Experience training or transferable skills that support success in a direct support role 
• Strong teamwork communication and problem-solving skills 
• Genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities 
• Ability to promote independence community engagement and person-centered supports
