Looking for a job where your work truly matters Join our team supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in a warm welcoming day program. As a Day Program Specialist / Direct Support Professional (DSP) youll help participants build confidence and independence socially physically and emotionally while keeping their safety and dignity front and center.

Day to day youll support participants with hygiene meals and mobility and help bring individualized program plans to life through engaging activities and community outings. Youll keep documentation current in our agency systems safely transport participants in agency vehicles and foster an inclusive respectful environment. When behavioral or emergency situations come up youll respond with a calm steady presence.

Were looking for someone with a high school diploma or GED a valid Connecticut drivers license with a clean record and the ability to obtain CPR First Aid and AED certification (Medication Administration certification too if required). Strong communication skills comfort with basic software and a compassionate patient reliable approach to care will help you thrive here.

This is an active hands-on role involving lifting transfers personal care and mobility support along with frequent standing walking bending and reaching. Youll join community outings drive agency vehicles and follow safety and infection control protocols.
