Under the direction of the Supervisor Storeroom performs a variety of activities related to the processing and transport of supplies throughout the UMMHC system.I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Operates light trucks vans and other vehicles to transport supplies. May drive large 26 ft 26001 lb capacity box truck.
2. Operates pallet mover.
3. Loads and unloads supplies secures in truck; transports safely.
4. Delivers supplies to main campus loading docks and to offsite departmental customers as needed.
5. Completes accurately all delivery records required.
II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Must possess appropriate Massachusetts motor vehicle operators license.
Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Able to communicate effectively with co-workers.
2. Able to read write and understand basic instructions verbal and written.
3. Able to perform basic arithmetic functions.
4. Able to stand walk stoop bend reach throughout the workday.
5. Able to lift 50 lbs.
6. Able to push and pull wheeled carts up to 300 lbs.
7. Employees must be at least 18 years of age to perform this role.
Unless certification licensure or registration is required an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
