Job Summary

Main Duties & Responsibilities Primary Job Role Administer and oversee DOT compliance programs to ensure adherence to FMCSA regulations and company driving policies. Serve as the subject matter expert on DOT regulations providing guidance and recommendations to management and Human Resources. Monitor driver qualification licensing medical certification MVRs and related compliance requirements identifying and addressing compliance risks. Interpret regulatory requirements and exercise independent judgment in resolving compliance issues and recommending corrective actions. Communicate regulatory updates compliance expectations and policy requirements to leaders and employees. Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies vendors and industry resources to stay informed of changes impacting operations. Evaluate and improve compliance processes controls and recordkeeping practices to enhance efficiency and reduce risk. Support Ring Powers Safety Above All culture through proactive compliance oversight and risk management. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience Formal Education High School diploma or GED Experience 2-3 years Required / Credentials Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers. DOT/FMCSA Compliance exposure or experience Driver qualification file (DQF) management exposure or experience Not Required but Highly Desired Criteria Updating of Knowledge Job requirements occasionally change requiring re-training to stay current every 3-5 years.
