JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

Perform various drafting and document management assignments working with MicroStation Connect. Under general supervision assembles prepares and makes revisions on existing drawings based off engineering modifications to maintain configuration management in nuclear power plants.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Makes and designs preliminary and final layouts preparing drawings to complete projects from engineering markups notes calculations details sheets and sketches
• Assemble and prepare accurate drawings based on engineering modifications and specifications
• Make revisions to existing drawings in compliance with engineering direction and configuration management standards
• Maintain drawing standards consistency and adherence to nuclear power plant design requirements
• Manage document control and version tracking for all engineering drawing
• Collaborates with engineers on layout safety and suitability of equipment and materials as required
• Utilizes good judgement and drafting practices
• Work closely with Document Control/Records Management for distribution and issuance of completed drawings
• Support computer hardware and plot/scan equipment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Experience and Education:

• Proficiency with MicroStation Connect or similar CAD software
• Drafter II:4 - 6 years of experience or a 2-yr. technical certificationwith2 years of working experience
• Drafter III: 6 - 8 years of experience or a 2-yr. technical certification with 4 years of working experience
• Drafter Sr:8years of experience or a 2-yr. technical certification with 6years of working experience
• Preferred: 2-year technical degree or certification in Computer Aided Drafting

Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Previous drafting experience (manual and computer)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office platform
• Proficient CAD skills while applying basic drafting techniques and concepts
• Possesses good verbal and written communication skills
• Has the ability to work with other personnel departments and organizations as part of a team
• Computer proficiency; experience using technology

Any Certificates Licenses etc.:

• Preferred: Certification in Computer Aided Drafting
