Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and relationship-driven Donor Relations Specialist to support and strengthen engagement with donors and this role you will cultivate meaningful relationships manage donor communications and contribute to fundraising and retention strategies. You will play a key role in enhancing donor experience ensuring transparency and supporting the organizations mission through effective stewardship. This is a fully remote position requiring excellent communication skills attention to detail and a passion for impact-driven work.

What Youll Do
  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with individual donors sponsors and partners
  2. Manage donor communications including emails newsletters acknowledgments and reports
  3. Support fundraising campaigns donor outreach initiatives and engagement strategies
  4. Track donor activity contributions and interactions using CRM systems
  5. Ensure timely and accurate acknowledgment of donations and donor recognition efforts
  6. Assist in planning and coordinating donor events virtual engagements and campaigns
  7. Collaborate with fundraising marketing and leadership teams to align messaging and goals
  8. Analyze donor data and provide insights to improve retention and engagement strategies
  9. Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with data protection and nonprofit regulations
What Were Looking For
  1. 25 years of experience in donor relations fundraising nonprofit development or client relations
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  3. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
  4. Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce DonorPerfect Blackbaud)
  5. High level of organization attention to detail and time management
  6. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment
  7. Passion for nonprofit work community engagement or social impact initiatives
Nice to Have
  1. Experience in grant support or major donor programs
  2. Familiarity with fundraising platforms and digital donation tools
  3. Background in event coordination or donor engagement campaigns
  4. Knowledge of donor analytics and reporting tools
  5. Bachelors degree in Communications Nonprofit Management or a related field
