The Donor Communications Coordinator works closely with the Donor Communications Manager to execute donor-facing communications across multiple channels. This role supports the planning coordination and delivery of communications projects while collaborating with internal teams to gather content manage timelines and ensure high-quality donor-centered messaging. The coordinator provides operational and project-level support to advance the departments revenue retention and stewardship goals.
Essential Functions:
Project Coordination & Execution:
- Support the Donor Communications Manager in executing donor communications projects including Newsletters Impact Reports direct mail email appeals donor journey emails and stewardship communications.
- Build format test and deploy Mailchimp email campaigns throughout the calendar year with a strong focus on campaign appeals
- Project management: Manage donor communications timelines create campaigns in Wrike and maintain HMG calendar with donor comms dates to ensure all projects meet deadlines simultaneously for multiple brands. Coordinate with internal departments such as Digital Marketing Promotions and Programming to gather content stories and assets for communications projects.
- Use approved software platforms to create and deploy ringless voicemail messages in support of donor engagement.
- Proofread and quality-check all donor communications for direct mail and email to ensure accuracy consistency and alignment with brand voice per branding guidelines.
- Build out and email Digital newsletter using brand website to align with print send date.
- Assist with launching and maintaining Donor onboarding journey series in MailChimp.
Content & Donor Stewardship:
- Assist in collecting donor stories and testimonials to showcase the impact of donor support.
- Develop and refine information gathering questions to uncover the key details and personal experiences that create compelling donor-centered stories.
- Ensure all communications are donor-centered and consistent with organizational messaging and stewardship goals.
- Help maintain templates documentation and best practices for donor communications.
- Find ways to incorporate donor feedback to improve donor communications including coordinating donor focus groups
Process Improvement & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Donor Communications Manager to identify areas of improvement and opportunity.
- Discuss and plan strategies to streamline workflows and improve efficiency in project execution.
- Support cross-functional collaboration with Digital Marketing Promotions and Programming to align communications efforts with department goals.

- Comfortable praying for co-workers in team meetings leading spoken prayer and participating in ministry prayer meetings and Bible studies
- Live Christian principles defined by the ministrys Statement of Faith & Biblical Beliefs
- Participate in on-air fundraisers and prays for donors as needed
- Passion for leveraging the HMGs media platforms for evangelism and discipleship
- Exhibit a strong moral character
- Active member of a Bible believing local church

Requirements and Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate degree or higher in Communications Marketing or a related field; bachelors degree preferred
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in communications project coordination or donor relations
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Heart for Christian ministry
- Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and strong moral character.
- Spiritually grounded and working knowledge of scripture.
- Must be an active member of a Bible believing local church
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Demonstrated proven written communication and proofreading skills. Creative writing skills
- Experience building email campaigns using platforms such as Mailchimp
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong understanding of the donor mindset and heart
- Proactive takes initiative works independently and Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word Excel Teams and donor management softwares. Ability to be trained on Virtuous CRM Raise Donors MailChimp and other platforms.
- Demonstrates strong moral ethical and relational skills.
- Organizes and manages time with frequent interruptions.
- Fast paced learner Ministry minded self-starter.
