About the Role:
As aResearch Intern Generative Videoat Dolby you will have the opportunity towork oncutting edgegenerative video models. With the guidance of Dolbys leading media technology experts you willbesolvingareal-worldgenerative videoproblem aiming tocreate advanced consumer experiences in multimedia entertainment.
This opportunity will be based out of our research offices inSunnyvale California.
What are we looking for in candidates
We are seeking currentPhDstudents with backgrounds and experiences ingenerative video models specifically indiffusion models. To be eligible you should have completed at least one year of your doctoral program. Along with solid technical skills candidates shoulddemonstrateproblem-solving and analytical abilitiesgood communicationand collaboration skillsa curiosity for how and why things work as they do and a passion for videogenerative have a desire to bring in new ideas and are open to learning from others.
Summary of Position:
We are a key research team within Dolbys Advanced Technology Group focused on creatingcutting edgeimaging video processing computer visionvision language and multimodaltechnologies that drive next generationconsumerexperiences. We are looking for strong candidates with an interest in oneormore of the following areas:
Video processing.
GenerativeAI.
Diffusion models.
Requirements:
PhD students in Artificial Intelligence Electrical Engineering Computer Science or related field.
Proven ability to pursue new areas ofvideo processing diffusion model and generative AIanddemonstrateresults through projects prototypes patent filings and papers in peer reviewed journals and conferences.
Experience as a researcher including internships full-time or at a lab.
Proficiencyin PythonandPyTorch.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly Desired Experience in the following:
Creating demos and prototypes for research applications.
Developing innovative solutions forgenerative video
Writingtechnical reports and/or publications.
First-author publications at peer-reviewed conferences or journals.

Eligibility:
Currently enrolled in a doctorate program in Computer Science Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related field. Must be available to work full-time Monday Friday for12 weeksbetweenSeptember2026December2026.

The San Francisco/Bay Area base hourly range for this internship position is $62/hrand can vary if outside of this location. Our hourly ranges are determined by role level and location. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific hourly range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
