Documentation Specialist Technical Writer

Job Summary
- Perform general administrative duties including:
- Answering telephones and taking messages
- Receiving sorting and routing mail and deliveries
- Greeting and escorting visitors as required
- Coordinate and manage conference room scheduling and usage
- Support meeting logistics including preparation of materials and coordination of attendees
- Record transcribe and distribute accurate meeting minutes as required
- Draft format and review official correspondence in accordance with:
- Navy Correspondence Manual
- Applicable Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy (DoN) directives
- Maintain organized records and documentation in compliance with established procedures
- Provide general administrative and documentation support as assigned
- Public Trust Clearance or Higher Preferred
- On-Site work Required
- Proficiency in general office administration and records management practices
- Experience supporting staff within a corporate environment or military command
- Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Exercise discretion and sound judgment
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint)
- Must be eligible for:
- Common Access Card (CAC) issuance
- Government IT system access
- Ability to comply with all applicable:
- DoD DoN and NAMRU-D policies
- Cybersecurity requirements
- Operational Security (OPSEC) standards
- Familiarity with Navy or DoD administrative processes and documentation standards
- Prior experience supporting research technical or scientific organizations
- Experience preparing formal government correspondence or reports
