The primary purpose of this position is to service customers at the Huntersville Express office in the registering of their vehicles in the state of North Carolina. To perform this task this position requires technical and administrative skills. This position must have an extensive knowledge of the General Statutes policies and procedures that govern the issuance of a North Carolina title as well as other credentials. Additionally this position will issue license plates issue crash reports and provide customers with the purchasing of their driving or vehicle registration records observing the Federal Privacy Act guidelines. This position accepts payments for driving license penalties and/or fees as well as other duties assigned by the manager as required for the functionality of the unit.

The program area for this position includes one or more of the following: experience with DMV Customer service in Vehicle Services working knowledge of North Carolina vehicle titles issuance and /or experience issuing license plates crash reports dealer/salesman licenses and inventory.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Grade and Salary Range: $3944 $68679

Management prefers applicants with the following:

• Experience with a personal computer and mainframe databases.
• Experience operating a calculator workstation laser printer fax machine & copier.
• Experience with recording compiling summarizing & analyzing data.
• Experience with reviewing information to determine compliance with applicable laws rules or regulations to resolve a complex or special processing matter.
• Experience in explaining & interpreting policies regulations & programs

Bachelors degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
