The Administrative Specialist positions will report to the DMV Headquarters in Rocky Mount NC. The selected candidates will work closely with up to two districts to support daily operations through reporting records management and personnel administration. The Administrative Specialist candidates must have working experience using Microsoft Office tools in order to prepare maintain and manage accurate operational and administrative data.
As part of the operational transformation initiative these positions will contribute to the ongoing optimization and standardization of key business processes within all administrative duties within DMV.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing operational records and reports
Coordinating employee hiring onboarding and offboarding
Maintaining employee records and system access
Reviewing time and attendance records
Tracking employee leave
Supporting scheduling needs
Providing general administrative and office supply support
Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Grade and Salary Range: NC08 Salary range $39244 - $68679
Management prefers applicants with the following:
- Experience in customer service working with diverse clientele.
- Experience maintaining and updating files records and reports.
- Experience organizing and coordinating workflow and activities.
- Experience reviewing detailed documents and records for accuracy and completeness.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word Excel and Outlook.
Minimum Education and Experience

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
