Job Summary
Were hiring experienced DME and Prosthetic Fitters to provide handson medical device fitting adjustments and patient education. If you have orthotic prosthetic or DME fitting experience and enjoy helping patients improve mobility and comfort we want to talk to you.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Sign-on Bonus: $2500.00 - $5000.00
- Hourly pay: $40 $48 per hour

Schedule:
Monday through Friday
8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Onsite at the Washington DC VA Medical Center
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure fit and adjust DME devices including braces supports compression garments and mobility equipment
- Fit and adjust prosthetic components sockets suspension systems and alignment as appropriate
- Educate patients on device use care and safety
- Document all fittings adjustments and followup interactions in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA infection control and safety protocols
- Communicate professionally with patients clinicians and internal staff
- Troubleshoot comfort alignment and functional issues
- Maintain equipment supplies and a clean work environment
- Travel to patient locations or partner facilities as required
Required Qualifications:
Experience fitting DME devices or prosthetic components
Knowledge of basic anatomy sizing and device adjustment
Strong patientcare communication skills
Ability to accurately document services and follow structured workflows
Valid drivers license (if travel is required)
Ability to pass background screening and compliance checks
Preferred Certifications (Not Required):
ABC Certified FitterOrthotics (CFo)
ABC Certified FitterTherapeutic Shoes (CFts)
BOC Certified Orthotic Fitter (COF)
BOC Certified Mastectomy Fitter (CMF)
BOC Prosthetic Assistant or Technician
Manufacturerspecific training (Ottobock Össur Fillauer etc.)

Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift 2040 lbs. of equipment
Manual dexterity for device adjustments
Ability to travel between patient locations as needed
