Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Division Chief of Vascular Surgery at Creighton University Medical Center CHI Health you will lead an established high volume group encompassing a wide breadth of vascular surgical cases in the setting of a large established referral base. Furthermore this leader will be instrumental in expanding our clinical surgical research and educational activities conjunction with our Department of Surgery and Cardiovascular Medicine

Every day you will provide visionary leadership to grow an adult Vascular Surgery Division in all of its domains in partnering with outstanding colleagues and forward-thinking dynamic academic and business leadership. Resident activity with the department of surgery is highly engaging at our academic flagship University Medical Center and Level I Trauma Center.

To be successful in this role you will have a demonstrated track record of scholarly and educational activities at the level of Assistant to Associate Professor at Creighton University School of Medicine. At Creighton University Medical Center our Heart & Vascular Institute is one of the nations highest quality award winning heart programs. Our Vascular Surgery program is part of our integrated multispecialty system working with every member of the cardiovascular medicine team committed to the highest outcome of every procedure we perform.

  • Working in an academic and teaching environment educating Creighton Universitys surgical residents and medical students and conducting research in collaboration with scientists within Common Spirit and Creighton University School of Medicine.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution

  • Board certification or eligibility in Vascular Surgery

  • Active or eligible license in the state of Nebraska

  • Strong clinical skills with experience in programmaticdevelopment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • Commitment to providing high-quality compassionate care

  • Clinical and leadership experience and ideally academic activities commensurate with the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at Creighton University School of Medicine
