Were partnering with a well-established and highly respected Division 8 contractor seeking an experienced Division 8 Detailer to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and has extensive experience detailing a wide variety of commercial Division 8 projects.

Position Overview

The Division 8 Detailer will be responsible for managing commercial projects from initial review through final submittals ensuring accuracy code compliance and exceptional quality throughout the detailing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce accurate shop drawings and submittal packages using COMSENSE
  • Review architectural drawings specifications and contract documents
  • Develop complete door frame and hardware schedules
  • Coordinate with project managers architects contractors and vendors
  • Perform material takeoffs and verify project quantities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and accessibility requirements
  • Manage revisions and maintain project documentation
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed
Required Qualifications
  • 5 years of commercial Division 8 (Doors Frames & Hardware) detailing experience
  • COMSENSE proficiency is required
  • Experience detailing a broad range of commercial project types including healthcare education hospitality multi-family government industrial and office projects
  • Strong understanding of architectural drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes life safety requirements and ADA standards
  • Excellent organizational communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
  • DHI certification is a plus
  • AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Experience working closely with architects general contractors and installation teams
