Position Title: Districtwide TESOL Teacher

Location: Clintonville Elementary School & Green Acres Elementary School

Reports To: Building Principal

Work Year: 2026-2027

Salary: Per NHEA Union Contract

Position Overview: The Multilingual Learner (MLL) Educator delivers superior culturally inclusive instruction aimed at enhancing English proficiency and academic this capacity the teacher provides targeted TESOL services partnering with district staff and community families to foster educational equity and access.

Education: Candidates must possess a current Connecticut State Department of Education certificate featuring a TESOL PK12 (#111) endorsement.

• Facilitate rigorous language development and academic achievement for MLL students via specialized TESOL programming.
• Evaluate and track learner advancement through proficiency metrics to tailor instruction and guarantee entrance to core curriculum.
• Work alongside general educators specialists and caregivers to design impactful instructional interventions and student supports.
• Cultivate an inclusive responsive classroom atmosphere that promotes active engagement and rapid linguistic acquisition.
• Maintain detailed pupil documentation engage in continuous professional growth and fulfill additional mandates as directed by administration.

• Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit speak hear stand and type extensively. Occasional lifting or moving of files or presentation materials up to 10 lbs. may be needed.
• Work Conditions: Standard office setting within an educational central business environment. Requires visual concentration on detail and the capability to adjust to frequent task interruptions.
