Job Description:

Summary/Objective:
Under direct supervision performs a wide range of office administration duties for assigned functions or program areas duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information. May research investigate and/or resolve program data or issues. Drafts documentation reports or presentations.Representsprogram or unit provides information andassistanceto internal and external customers.

Essential Functions:

1. Provides administrative support toassignedarea.

2. Provides assistanceand problem resolution to claimants employers staff other agencies and/or thegeneral public.

3. Provides program administrative and/or technicalassistanceand interpretation Researches and resolves detailed program or client issues/questions and prepares documents.

4. Provides program administrative and/or technicalassistanceto customers and staff.

5. Researchand/or resolves program or client issues or questions.

6. Mayrepresentthe manager in various matters.

7. Supports routine administrative functions for the agency/office such as travel expenses car rentals leases vendors contracts telecommunications building securitypurchasing billing/credit inventory property control personnel payrollandetc.

8. Receivesadditionaltraining as required to gain fullproficiencyand experience in all areas.

9. May serve as the designated Emergency Coordinator for the assigned office responsible for implementing GVRAs Emergency Preparedness Plan coordinating evacuation and shelter-in-place procedures andmaintainingcommunication with the Property & Facilities team during emergencies.

10. Maybe responsible forleading local emergency response efforts including conducting periodic safety checksmaintainingupdated contact and person in need ofassistancerosters and ensuring all employees are familiar with emergency procedures and assembly locations.

Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of job-related experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Preference will be given to applicantswho in addition to meeting the required educationand experiencepossessone or more of the following:

1. Associates degree in Business Administration Office Management or related field from an accredited college or university.

(3) or more years of administrative support experience in a state agency educational institution or large organization

Work Environment:

This joboperatesin a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employeeis regularly required totalk or hear. The employeefrequentlyis required tostand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employeeis occasionally required tosit; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depthperceptionand ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

Incumbents working in this job perform duties in an office setting. This is a 40-hour workweek requirement.Theposition may involve managing ahigh-volumeworkload and demandsa high levelof accuracy while working with deadlines. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This positionoccasionallyrequires long hours and weekend work.

Travel:

Travel is primarily local during the business day although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
