Overview:

A Distribution Loader is responsible for pulling customer orders of cable and loading them on flatbeds containers and LTL carriers using small and large lifts.

Salary:

Starting $20.34 and up (Based on experience).

Shifts:

  • Monday through Friday

  • Either 1st shift (6AM-2PM) or 2nd shift (2PM-10PM)

  • Shifts can be adjusted if needed

  • Weekends and overtime are sometimes required to reach goals and on-time delivery objectives.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

This position consists of loading small to large fiber optic cables on trucks on an 8-hour shift and handling BOLs and checklists for all loads and drivers. Most of the loading is done outside on flatbeds. Loading must be done in a safe and timely manner while making sure truckdrivers are loaded correctly right the first time.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Communication skills to deal with truck drivers domestic and foreign.

Can perform and maintain 6S.

Strong teamwork orientation to successfully work with coworkers to

accomplish department/production goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Forklift experience on big and small lifts is a must.

Forklift certified.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Safety shoes and glasses required when working in the production

areas and outside.

Operate a nail gun and hammer.

Able to work outside in all weather conditions.

Must have basic math skills and can use a tape measure and

calculator.
