Distribution Lead

Location: Fort Myers FL Status: Onsite Department: Distribution Center

Lead from the Floor. Drive Safety Accuracy and Performance.

Shift Hours: 5:30AM to 1:30PM overtime as needed

LeeSar and Cooperative Services of Florida (CSF) are seeking a Distribution Lead to serve as a hands-on leader within our Distribution Center. This role is ideal for an experienced distribution professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment leads by example and is passionate about safety accuracy and team performance.

As a working leader you will coordinate daily operations support Shift Supervisors guide team members and actively participate in distribution activities to ensure our healthcare partners receive the critical supplies they depend on.

What Youll Do

Lead Daily Distribution Operations

• Coordinate and delegate daily work assignments to ensure tasks are completed safely accurately and on time
• Serve as acting supervisor during PTO or absence of the Shift Supervisor
• Lead daily huddles and promote engagement accountability and continuous improvement
• Provide input on employee evaluations and performance discussions
• Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
• Perform material handler duties as needed based on operational demands

Oversee Receiving & Inventory Control

• Ensure accurate inventory adjustments and system data entry
• Assign and maintain inventory locations within warehouse systems
• Coordinate daily backorder releases and special shipments
• Schedule deliveries and maintain communication with freight carriers
• Support P.O. discrepancy resolution with Purchasing
• Coordinate vendor returns and product pick-ups
• Ensure products are stocked in proper locations

Support Shipping & Documentation

• Prepare and verify required shipping documentation
• Maintain full knowledge of delivery schedules
• Ensure compliance with operational software and systems
• Maintain clean organized and safe work areas

Champion Safety Compliance & Quality

• Identify and immediately escalate unsafe conditions
• Enforce OSHA HIPAA and company policies
• Ensure vendor compliance while on-site
• Maintain high performance standards for accuracy and productivity
• Meet attendance and safety expectations

Drive Productivity & Continuous Improvement

• Meet or exceed productivity benchmarks
• Support departmental goals related to service efficiency and accuracy
• Identify and escalate operational issues promptly
• Participate in team problem-solving initiatives

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of two (2) years of distribution center experience
• Ability to read write and speak English for work-related communication
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and supply chain management software
• Ability to work flexible hours including overtime weekends or on-call as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior lead or supervisory experience
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain and maintain certification)
