DescriptionPosition Summary:
This position is for EPES Transport LLC. a division of Penske Logistics based in Greensboro NC. The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating daily fleet operations communicating with drivers monitoring service performance and ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. This role supports driver compliance manages equipment and service issues maintains accurate fleet information and partners with Operations Safety and Maintenance teams to ensure safe and effective transportation operations.
Schedule: Onsite Monday Friday 4:30PMEST-12:30AMEST
Major Responsibilities:
Follows up with specified drivers on instructions from Driver Managers and communicates any service issues late deliveries or drivers requiring write-ups leaving notes for Driver Managers as necessary.
After Driver Managers depart for the day communicates with drivers via Qualcomm and phone to ensure follow-through on service requirements relaying results to the day shift.
Ensures compliance with all procedures related to cigarette loads and promptly reports any issues concerns or serious accidents to Operations and Safety Leadership.
Manages the daytime fleets as a unified entity taking sole responsibility for the entire Fleet Manager boards from the daytime shift.
Ensures proper PTA (Projected Time of Availability) updates when dispatching the next load to drivers and maintains and monitors the current PTAs of trucks en route to their destinations.
Works with Maintenance Department on any equipment breakdowns.
Demonstrates support to the Penskes Quality System and its objectives as applicable.

QualificationsQualifications:
High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
Bachelors Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.
One plus years of experience in Transportation/Supply Chain preferred
Strong attention to detail accuracy and sense of urgency
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to learn and regularly operate various computer systems across different platforms
Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with customers as well as Penske associates
Ability to use critical thinking to analyze information communicate appropriately make decisions within the framework of the SOP solve problems evaluate results and determine if further action is needed.
Ability to work First Second and Third shifts as needed. Flexibility with scheduling required
Regular predictable full attendance is an essential function of the job
