What you will have an opportunity to do:
Summary:Maintainschina/dishes pots pans trays kitchen work areasequipmentand utensils in clean and orderly and sanitary condition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Scrapes/rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
Washespots pans and trays based on assigned procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation. Let dry completely before storing or reusing.
Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler chemical dip buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
Ensure compliance with all outlined safety procedures up to and including use of cut gloves when handling and cleaning knives.
Maintain and track temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards. Letsupervisorknowin a timely mannerif levels are off.
Clean andmaintaindish area in an orderly manner to include mats clear walkway and in compliance with all other safety standards.
Sweeps and mops kitchen floors atappropriate intervalsto ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Washes worktables wallsrefrigerators andmeat blocks and all other food prepsurfaceas assigned.
Segregatesandremovestrash and garbage andplacesit in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans inappropriateand assigned areas.
Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and workareasobservingall safe lifting standards.
Mayassistwith loading or unloading supplies andproduct.
Perform other functions and duties as assigned.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
What are we looking for
High schooleducation;orGED preferred.
Ability to read andcomprehendsimple instructions short correspondence and memos.
Abilityto standforlong periodsof time.
Ability tolift and /or move up to 10 poundsfrequentlylift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
