Discipline Engineer | Electrical

As an Electrical Discipline Engineer youll oversee design efforts for power distribution lighting and emergency systems across municipal commercial and institutional ResponsibilitiesOversight of design in the design of electrical systems such as power distribution stand-by power generation lighting communication fire alarm and security develop and supervise a group of Electrical Engineers in project design and development tasks including drawings calculations cost estimates and specifications respond to client questions and comments review contractor submittals and provide clarifications during construction. Oversee/Review electrical department design documents for completion and department staff adhere to accepted industry and company with our QA/QC team assist in the development of company quality standards and procedures. Work with MEP management team to develop and implement electrical short- and long-range manpower and production plans to meet project objectives. Assist in cultivation of business development initiatives to pursue new projects including participation in client presentations. Perform other duties as assignedEducation & QualificationsBachelors degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program.10 years design-related experience with a consulting engineering firm designing and building power lighting communication and security be a licensed Professional Engineer.A thorough understanding and knowledge of the architectural and engineering industry including the Federal State and local laws and regulations that pertain to the oral and written communication skills. Experience using Outlook and Microsoft Office (or similar software). LEED Accreditation and working knowledge of AutoCAD and managing a team of professionals is a plus. Experience with HVAC and plumbing systems is a salary range for this role is $150000 - $170000 employment offer may deviate from this published range based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience specialty knowledge education geography and/or related certifications not related to any applicants characteristics protected by local state or federal law.
