St. Lukes HealthSugar Land Hospital is a 100 bed facility serving residents of Fort Bend County and Southwest Houston. Our Family Birthing Center provides exceptional care in a spa-like setting creating a VIP (Very Important Pregnancy) experience for growing families. Since opening in 2008 our dedicated team of physicians nurses and support staff has proudly delivered expert compassionate care to our community. Our services range from heart care and neuroscience to robotic surgery.

Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Director Womens Services you will oversee all aspects of the womens health service line.

Every day you will lead staffing budgeting quality strategic planning and patient/physician satisfaction. Reporting to the AVP/CNO you will support leadership by identifying market opportunities developing business plans implementing new ventures and marketing to stakeholders. You will also manage financial funding departmental budget and directly handle the planning development implementation and administration of operational and technical aspects of the service area.

To be successful in this role you will effectively manage comprehensive womens health services driving strategic growth operational excellence financial performance and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Facilitates staff to assume leadership roles both formally and informally via role modeling.
  • Demonstrates positive leadership skills and communication that embrace change which results in achievement of outcomes.
  • Articulates departmental goals and objectives that lead to active staff participation in clinical decision-making affecting practice.
  • Services as the management representative for Maternal Child services in fostering physician and patient relationships that creates trust and respect amongst the patients physicians and staff
  • Ensures that appropriate equipment and supplies are available to provide effective and efficient nursing care.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced physician partnered community hospital environment that requires constant reprioritization of tasks and resources.
Job Requirements
Required
  • Bachelors Of Science Nursing and 7 years experience in the discipline upon hire and
  • 5 years leadership experience and
  • Registered Nurse: TX upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR within 14 - days and
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 6 - months

Preferred
  • Masters Other upon hire
