Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION : Under the direction of the College Vice President of Student Services The Director of Student Support Programs will plan implement develop organize and ensure that student access retention and success objectives are accomplished as outlined in the college Educational Master plan Strategic Plan and Equity Plan with the goal of eliminating disproportionate impact.
Physical Demands
PHYSICAL ABILITIES : Communicating to exchange information Reading various materials Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard Sitting for extended periods of time Bending at the waist kneeling or crouching Drive to required sites Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally. Lifting moderately heavy objects.
Required Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : minimum qualifications for Educational Administrators at California Community Colleges Possession of a masters degree from an accredited institution and one year of formal training. internship or leadership experience reasonably related to the administrators administrative assignment. Sensitivity and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability and ethnic background of community college students and the student population served by area program(s).
