This role is part of Alcons Strategic Supply Organization a team that manages external manufacturing partners for Alcons industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly.

The Director Strategic Sourcing is primarily responsible for leading strategic external production activities building supplier relationships and aligning procurement with business goals. You will develop cost-effective strategies that meet quality standards and ensure departmental success at our US Surgical Manufacturing sites. Specifics Include:

• Manage day-to-day procurement activities including sourcing vendor negotiation and contract management.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess procurement needs and find strategic sourcing opportunities.

• Oversee supplier relationship management to ensure consistent quality and value.

• Implement procurement strategies that optimize cost efficiency and resilience in the supply chain.

• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for process improvement.

• Lead procurement teams in evaluating bids negotiating contracts and monitoring supplier performance.

• Develop sourcing strategies for both direct (raw materials components) and indirect (information technology office supplies) categories.

WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 18 yrs; Assoc.14 yrs; M.S.7 yrs; PhD6 yrs)

• The ability to fluently read write understand and communicate in English

• 10 years of relevant experience

• 6 Years of demonstrated leadership

• Location: Onsite

• Travel Requirements: Up to 25%
