Director (RN) Surgical Services

The Director of Surgical Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all surgical departments aligning departmental resources to meet organizational this leadership capacity you will architect and execute operational blueprints clinical guidelines and regulatory benchmarks that support safety ethics and compliance. Additionally you will supervise and assess daily perioperative operations to maintain exceptional clinical performance and rigorous quality control standards.

• Develop and implement goals plans and standards consistent with the clinical administrative legal and ethical objective of the organization.

• Direct and evaluate departmental operations including patient care delivery information technologies service level determination and complaint management to achieve performance and quality control objectives.

• Plan and monitor staffing activities including hiring orienting evaluating disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.

• Prepare monitor and evaluate departmental budgets and ensure that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.

• Coordinate and direct internal/external audits.

• Utilize nursing process in assessing planning implementing and evaluating nursing care of pediatric patients from admission to department through discharge or transfer.

• Provide expert care and education to patients in clinical setting act as patient advocate leader and mentor for assistive personnel.

• Manage patient loads in assigned timelines.

• Current (or eligible) Montana RN licenserequired.

• Five years experienceas a Surgical Services RN.

• Five years experienceas a leader at the Director level.

• Bachelors degreein Nursing.

• BLS for Healthcare Providerupon hire.

• PALS and ACLSwithin six (6) months of hire

• Advanced degree(MSN Healthcare Administration and MBA) strongly preferred.
