The Director of Therapy Operations provides strategic clinical and operational leadership for all rehabilitation therapy services within a busy inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Reporting to executive leadership this individual will oversee department operations staff development quality initiatives financial performance and regulatory compliance while fostering a culture centered on collaboration accountability and patient-centered care.

This is a highly visible leadership role that combines operational oversight with clinical engagement. While the Director does not maintain a regular patient caseload they remain actively involved in patient care each day and are available to assist the clinical team when needed.

• 58-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital
• Average Daily Census: 54 patients
• Department of approximately 64 therapy professionals
• Direct leadership of 28 team members
• Supported by an experienced Therapy Team Leader and Therapy Manager
• Collaborative interdisciplinary environment focused on exceptional rehabilitation outcomes

• Provide strategic leadership for Physical Therapy Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology services
• Lead and mentor therapy leaders while promoting a culture of accountability collaboration and clinical excellence
• Oversee departmental operations staffing scheduling productivity budgeting and resource management
• Partner closely with physicians nursing leadership case management and executive teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Drive quality improvement initiatives patient satisfaction and operational performance
• Ensure compliance with all federal state accreditation and organizational standards
• Prepare the department for ongoing regulatory readiness and accreditation surveys
• Develop and implement programs that improve patient outcomes and departmental efficiency
• Recruit develop mentor and retain high-performing rehabilitation professionals
• Promote employee engagement professional development and succession planning
• Provide clinical support and patient care assistance as needed

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) Occupational Therapist (OT) or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited therapy program
• Minimum five years of rehabilitation experience
• Minimum two years of progressive management or leadership experience
• Experience in acute care and/or inpatient rehabilitation
• Strong leadership communication financial and operational management skills

• Masters or Doctoral degree in a clinical or healthcare management discipline
• CPR certification (unless otherwise required by hospital policy)
• Experience leading multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance quality improvement and accreditation standards
• Experience managing budgets productivity and staffing within an inpatient rehabilitation environment
