• Home-based with regular travel across the USA
• $200000 to $215000 per year

We are seeking a Director of Software Engineering and Delivery to provide strategic and operational leadership across software engineering product delivery and release management functions. This role is ideal for leaders with experience in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) traffic management and control systems tolling and road user charging platforms smart mobility technologies connected vehicle solutions transportation software or other roadside technology environments.

• Lead software engineering and delivery teams across multiple products and project portfolios.
• Own delivery performance across the full SDLC including planning development testing release and production readiness.
• Partner with Product and business stakeholders to define roadmaps priorities and release plans.
• Drive Agile delivery practices Scrum methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Champion DevOps principles CI/CD practices and operational excellence.
• Manage resource planning project schedules risks budgets and stakeholder communications.
• Coach and mentor engineering managers Scrum Masters and development teams.
• Support recruitment performance management succession planning and team development.
• Foster a culture of accountability innovation collaboration and continuous learning.

• 7 years leading software development delivery and release management functions.
• 5 years managing software engineering teams.
• Strong experience managing software delivery throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Proven success delivering complex enterprise software solutions in the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) traffic management systems tolling road user charging smart mobility connected vehicle technologies transportation software or other roadside technology environments.
• Experience with Agile Scrum DevOps CI/CD quality assurance and release management practices.
• Strong leadership stakeholder management communication strategic planning and team-building skills.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related technical discipline.
