Position Summary

The Director of Resident Relations serves as a primary liaison between residents families and WellSpring. This position supports residents through transitions assists with problem resolution coordinates resources and partners with multiple departments to ensure residents receive the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strong relationships with residents and families while serving as an advocate for resident needs
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for resident concerns and facilitate resolutions
  • Assist residents and families through life transitions including changes in health status level of care rehabilitation needs and move-outs
  • Participate in resident assessments and care planning discussions
  • Support new residents during move-in and adjustment to community life
  • Collaborate with resident committees and serve as a liaison to the Resident Association
  • Connect residents and families with appropriate community resources and support services
  • Maintain documentation of resident interactions and follow-up activities
  • Participate in resident orientation programs and Resident Care Committee meetings
  • Support families during end-of-life transitions and coordinate memorial service communications
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external providers to support residents social emotional spiritual and healthcare needs
  • Assist with volunteer programs resident communications and special projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Experience working with older adults or in a senior living environment required
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work or a related field preferred or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with electronic record systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit stand and move throughout a large campus environment
  • Ability to meet with residents and families across multiple living areas
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 25 pounds without assistance
Schedule

This is a full-time exempt position. As a 24/7 senior living community occasional evening or weekend coverage may be required for resident events emergencies or special circumstances.
