Director of Procurement

The CAR Group is seeking an experienced Director of Procurement to lead enterprise-wide sourcing vendor management and purchasing strategy across our portfolio of automotive businesses.

This is a rare opportunity to build and shape a centralized procurement function that supports a growing organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer youll partner with executive leadership to develop procurement strategy establish scalable processes strengthen supplier partnerships and deliver measurable cost savings across multiple business locations.

• Develop and execute an enterprise-wide procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Build standardized procurement processes and governance across multiple locations.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives supplier selection contract negotiations and vendor relationships.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining operational excellence and service quality.
• Develop reporting that provides leadership with visibility into spend supplier performance and savings initiatives.
• Partner closely with Finance Legal Operations Accounting and business leaders on procurement decisions.
• Proactively manage supplier performance and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Foster a culture of accountability continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What Were Looking For

• Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Management Finance or a related field.
• 10 years of progressive procurement strategic sourcing or supply chain leadership experience.
• Proven success building or transforming procurement organizations in a multi-site environment.
• Strong experience negotiating enterprise contracts and managing strategic supplier relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable cost savings and process improvements.
• Experience partnering with executive leadership and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical financial and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive dealership retail or other multi-location operating experience.
• Familiarity with CDK Reynolds & Reynolds or comparable business systems.
• MBA or advanced degree.
