River Garden Hebrew Home an award-winning not-for-profit five-star nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Jacksonvilles beautiful Mandarin area is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our Nursing Services Department.
This is an exceptional leadership opportunity for a compassionate healthcare professional who is committed to resident-centered care staff development clinical excellence and quality outcomes.
Position Summary
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall administration planning coordination and evaluation of nursing services within River Garden Hebrew Home.. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to ensure the highest standards of resident care while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal state and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mentor and develop nursing staff fostering a culture of excellence compassion and accountability.
- Promote resident-centered care and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians interdisciplinary teams residents families and community stakeholders
- Develop direct and administer all aspects of Nursing Services
- Provide oversight of Quality Management and Risk Management programs.
- Ensure compliance with AHCA Joint Commission and all other regulatory requirements related to long-term care.
- Plan develop and manage the Nursing Services departmental budget.
Qualifications
- Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous leadership experience as a Director of Nursing Assistant Director of Nursing or other senior nursing leadership role in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
- Strong knowledge of AHCA regulations Joint Commission standards and long-term care compliance requirements
- Demonstrated success in staff development quality improvement and clinical operations management
- Excellent organizational communication and leadership skills
- Budget and staffing management experience preferred
