Job Summary
Director of Nursing (DON)

Schedule:
- Full-Time Salaried Position
- Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
- Flexible availability required for operational needs
- Occasional after-hours and weekend support as needed
- On-call rotation required for clinical and administrative matters
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership for all hospice operations ensuring high-quality safe and consistent patient care
- Oversee clinical departments including home care admissions education and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with all federal state certification licensing and regulatory requirements
- Lead mentor and supervise clinical managers and directors across the organization
- Collaborate with leadership on staffing scheduling and operational planning
- Participate in budgeting financial oversight and resource allocation for clinical services
- Drive quality improvement initiatives staff education and professional development programs
- Serve as a clinical expert role model and advocate for patient-centered care
- Support staff retention engagement and performance management strategies
- Step in for senior clinical leadership responsibilities when needed
Requirements:
- Active unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Georgia
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field preferred (Masters degree preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of senior-level management experience required
- At least 3 years of hospice experience required
- Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and compliance standards
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Strong organizational communication and leadership skills
- Experience with budgeting operations and performance management preferred
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required
