HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Director of Marketing. As the Director of Marketing you will shape how Mission Technologies shows up in the market positioning HII as the trusted differentiated leader in defense technology. Youll lead brand strategy integrated marketing and digital engagement programs that elevate recognition sharpen our technology voice and expand our presence in priority productdriven markets.
Youll guide a team that delivers highimpact campaigns compelling storytelling and executive visibility that fuel growth and strengthen our competitive edge across AI cyber unmanned systems electronic warfare C5ISR and advanced training solutions. This role supports a hybrid work schedule based out of our McLean Va office.
Brand Leadership
- Position the HII brand as the trusted differentiated leader in defense technology to support sustained growth.
- Elevate brand recognition and credibility across defense stakeholders.
- Differentiate our technology voice by simplifying and sharpening our value proposition.
Integrated Marketing & Campaigns
- Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies aligned with business and product priorities.
- Lead multichannel campaigns that drive visibility engagement and demand.
- Oversee creative direction for brand storytelling advertising and digital experiences.
- Partner with product BD and strategy teams to align marketing with market needs.
Digital Marketing & Analytics
- Lead digital marketing strategy including web content ecosystems SEO/SEM and digital advertising.
- Use analytics to measure and optimize performance across campaigns and channels.
Thought Leadership & Visibility
- Develop executive thoughtleadership programs and support speaking awards and industry visibility.
- Identify brandbuilding opportunities across events and partnerships.
Team Leadership & Governance
- Lead a highperforming marketing team across brand digital and content disciplines.
- Establish brand and content governance to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications on messaging and media alignment.
- 10 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant progressive experience.
- Bachelors degree in marketing communications journalism or related field.
- 10 years of experience leading marketing brand or strategic communications programs.
- Proven ability to build integrated marketing strategies and compelling narratives.
- Strong digital editorial and storytelling skills.
- Experience with analytics and measuring marketing effectiveness.
- Understanding of defense national security or advanced technology markets.
- Collaborative proactive and resultsdriven leadership style.
