Position Summary

The Director of Infrastructure & System Support will lead the organizations enterprise infrastructure network operations cybersecurity telecom systems data center operations and end-user support functions. This role is responsible for developing and executing the infrastructure strategy ensuring operational excellence maintaining regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement across IT operations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technology leader with deep expertise in infrastructure management cybersecurity network architecture IT operations and team leadership within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Operations

  • Lead enterprise infrastructure including networks servers storage telecom and data center operations.
  • Oversee help desk desktop support technical services and IT operations.
  • Ensure system availability performance capacity planning and operational stability.
  • Manage infrastructure modernization and technology improvement initiatives.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Oversee network security monitoring firewall management and security controls.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audits and implement remediation plans.
  • Support disaster recovery business continuity and enterprise risk management programs.

Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute long-term infrastructure and technology roadmaps.
  • Partner with executive leadership to define architecture standards and strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
  • Lead multiple cross-functional projects from planning through execution.

Team Management

  • Recruit mentor develop and lead infrastructure and support teams.
  • Establish performance goals and drive a high-performance culture.
  • Manage vendor relationships and service providers.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets.
  • Drive cost optimization while maintaining service quality and security.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

  • 10 years of progressive IT infrastructure leadership experience.
  • 8 years of experience with:
  • Network engineering and architecture
  • Firewall administration and security
  • LAN/WAN environments
  • Data center operations
  • Telecom/VoIP systems
  • Infrastructure design and implementation

Certifications

  • A Microsoft or equivalent infrastructure certification.
  • Cybersecurity certification required (e.g. CISSP CISM Security or similar).

Technical Skills

  • Enterprise infrastructure management
  • Network architecture and security
  • Firewalls DMZs and security monitoring
  • Data center and server administration
  • Capacity planning and performance monitoring
  • Disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Scripting and automation
  • Cloud technologies (AWS Azure etc.)

Preferred Background

  • Healthcare or highly regulated industry experience.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing enterprise-scale infrastructure environments.
