Job Summary
Alarge rapidly expanding Southern California hospitalrecognized with anA grade in patient safety by The Leapfrog Groupis seeking an experiencedDirector of Information Systemsto lead its technology strategy and digital transformation.
This high-impact role reports directly to theChief Financial Officer (CFO)and collaborates closely with apowerhouse executive team including a forward-thinkingCNO and CEOwho are dedicated to innovation integration and operational excellence. The hospital is acomprehensive multi-specialty facilitywith a culture that values collaboration accountability and forward-looking leadership.
The Director of Information Systems will serve as astrategic planning partner ensuring the hospitals IT infrastructure systems and security meet the highest standards of efficiency compliance and patient safetywhile driving modernization and digital growth across the enterprise.
TheDirector of Information Systemsprovides strategic direction leadership and oversight for all hospital IT functions. This includes infrastructure applications cybersecurity and data integrityensuring systems operate seamlessly and securely to support clinical and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the hospitals IT strategy to align with organizational goals and future growth.
Lead and mentor a high-performing IT team focused on service excellence and accountability.
Direct implementation of new and upgraded systems with clear timelines budgets and outcomes.
Ensure hospital-wide data security including HIPAA compliance access controls and disaster recovery.
Serve asHIPAA Security Officer overseeing audits risk assessments and incident response.
Maintain and enhance the hospitalsDisaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans.
Utilize performance metrics to demonstrate the value and efficiency of IT initiatives.
Partner cross-functionally with clinical financial and operational leaders to support acollaborative tech-forward culture.
Bachelors degreein Computer Science Information Systems Business or a related field required.
Minimum 2 years in healthcare operations or administrationand2 years in facility or systems managementrequired.
Minimum 5 years of progressive IT leadershipexperience in a hospital setting strongly preferred.
Proven experience insystem conversions network infrastructure and cybersecurity compliance.
Demonstrated strength instrategic planning staff development and cross-functional collaboration.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Los Angeles County Fire Card and ARC certificationrequired within 30 days of hire.
