PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Responsible for the effective management of a clean and sanitary environment in the facility. Maintain safe functional and supportive environment for patients staff and visitors to the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Develop a cleaning schedule and provide adequate staff coverage.

Responsible for safety security maintenance facilities materials management and housekeeping.

Effectively meet the operational needs of the departments under direct supervision.

Operate within established fiscal guidelines inspects and continually evaluates the physical condition of the facility building(s) and grounds.

Provide staff management including hiring development training performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.

Coordinate develop and/or participate in facility wide departmental safety policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with federal state accreditation or corporate standards codes laws or regulations to manage risks related to the physical environment of the facility.

Establish standards of quality within departments under direct supervision and oversee the training to meet those standards.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or Associates degree preferred.

Four or more years experience in the field of environmental safety plant operations or similar environment required.

One or more years supervisory experience required.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

Valid state drivers license where required in a facility.

CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).

First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
