Sarasota National Golf Clubs 18-hole championship course provides an exhilarating test for golfers of any skill level. An Audubon International Certified Signature Sanctuary the course is surrounded by native wetlands and preserves providing a dramatic backdrop that is as beautiful as it is challenging.

Annual Salary: $115000 - $130000

Summary

Directs and oversees all aspects of Golf Operations including its activities and relationships between guests associates and community. Has the ultimate responsibility for maximum guest satisfaction and financial performance.

Essential Duties:

• Develops implements and monitors annual budget revenue goals and expenses for operations departments.
• Provides timely and accurate reporting of all financial and non-financial information as directed requested or required by Troon Golf management or representatives.
• Monitors monthly and other financial reports/statements on a daily weekly and monthly basis for the facility and takes effective corrective action when necessary.
• Develops maintains and administers sound organizational plans and initiates improvements as necessary.
• Maintains membership with the PGA and CMAA and other professional associations. Attends workshops and meetings to keep abreast of current information and developments.
• Oversees the care and maintenance of all the facilities physical assets.
• Coordinates marketing programs designed to promote the facilitys services to potential customers.
• Ensures the highest standards of quality for food and beverage service on property.
• Implements policies and procedures for the Golf and Maintenance Departments including compliance of all company standards relating to quality of products and services.
• Responsible for interviewing hiring training planning assigning and directing work evaluating performance rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate. Develops ongoing training programs.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelors degree (BA); or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (Multi-course facilities may require more experience).

Physical Demands:

• Regularly stands walks and sits.
• Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops kneels crawls or crouches. Frequently uses hands; reaches with hands and arms.
• Frequently talks or hears; tastes or smells.
• Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.

Environment/Noise:

• Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather).
• Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses:

• Must be PGA member or have completed Level II of the PGM program.
• Experience with computerized POS and tee time system.

Job Knowledge Skill and Ability Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates are required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with computerized POS and tee time system.
