The Director of Facilities provides leadership and oversight for all campus physical plant operations including buildings and grounds utilities energy management systems and safety and security systems. This position ensures a safe healthy comfortable and well-maintained environment for students faculty and staff. The Director is responsible for planning scheduling and supervising maintenance repairs custodial services and other facilities operations while ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the campus.
The Director of Facilities oversees the daily operations of the Facilities Department including maintenance custodial services utilities grounds preventive maintenance and facility improvements. The position supervises staff and contractors manages budgets service contracts purchasing and facility projects and ensures campus facilities are safe efficient well-maintained and compliant with MIOSHA and OSHA requirements. The Director also maintains facility records blueprints floor plans and key controls while coordinating with architects engineers and contractors on renovations and construction projects.
The position requires a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Business Management Business Administration Construction Engineering or a related field is preferred.
