JOB SUMMARY:
Provides enterprise-wide leadership governance and oversight of the End User Computing (EUC) Risk Oversight Program. Responsible for the EUC risk governance framework quality assurance activities training and reporting that support effective risk management and adherence to enterprise requirements. Leads a team and partners across lines of defense to promote accountability reinforce program expectations and drive proactive risk management practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed both major and minor which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Own maintain and educate teammates on the enterprise EUC risk governance framework ensuring alignment with enterprise risk management requirements.

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the EUC Risk Oversight.

  • Oversee Classification and Risk Tiering of candidate EUCs in partnership with Model Risk Oversight.

  • Maintain ownership of the EUC inventory including approvals of new entries maintenance and retirements within the system of record.

  • Lead EUC Quality Assurance and validation activities including oversight of QA scope scheduling work quality and adherence to established standards.

  • Approve QA outcomes including the identification issuance and escalation of EUC Issues and SubIssues in accordance with enterprise issue management policies.

  • Evaluate EUC Issues and SubIssues on an ongoing and quarterly basis to determine severity thematic trends and escalation requirements.

  • Track and monitor EUC Issues and SubIssues through remediation and closure including input on remediation timelines when appropriate.

  • Serve as steward of the EUC risk platform ensuring data accuracy completeness and consistency across reporting and governance activities.

  • Develop and deliver EUC risk reporting and program performance metrics to senior management and risk committees on a recurring basis.

  • Provide effective challenge and support to firstline stakeholders across EUC identification development use and control design.

  • Partner with Operational Risk Internal Audit Technology and other secondline teams to support audits exams and independent reviews of the EUC program and other Business Units with EUC requests.

  • Promote EUC risk awareness through training guidance and bestpractice education for EUC owners developers users and risk partners.

  • Oversee train coach and develop EUC Risk Oversight teammates in both role and career development.

  • Develop deliver and monitor team and program goals throughout the year.

  • Oversee offshore team of professionals to execute and support EUC Risk Oversight activities.

  • Monitor compliance with other enterprise requirements as required for the EUC Risk Oversight team

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Ten years of relevant financial industry experience or equivalent in the areas of risk operations administration or finance.

3. Five years of relevant experience supervising teammates with operational risk backgrounds.

4. Strong analytical organizational leadership and decision-making skills.

5. Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as experience proofreading documents written by others.

6. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master of Business Administration or relevant Masters degree preferred.
2. Experience in Second Line of Defense oversight roles at mid to large size financial institutions.
3. Experience with EUC Risk Management
4. Experience working for or with (significant interactions) regulatory agencies (FRB OCC FDIC CFPB)
5. Experience in establishing new enterprise operational risk programs or initiatives.
