Job Summary
Hengstler-Dynapar Power & Industrial Technologies (P&IT)
The Director of Global Engineering leads the worldwide engineering organization responsible for new product development and sustaining engineering across the Power & Industrial Technologies portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop a global multi-site engineering team
- Drive new product development (NPD) from concept through launch
- Oversee sustaining engineering including product improvements cost reduction and lifecycle management
- Align engineering priorities with business strategy growth initiatives and customer needs
- Partner cross-functionally with Product Management Operations and Sales
- Improve product quality cost and time-to-market
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Kaizen etc.)
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (MBA preferred)
- 10 years of engineering leadership experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Proven experience leading global engineering teams
- Strong background in both:
- New product development
- Sustaining / lifecycle engineering
- Experience with Lean continuous improvement and structured development processes
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect engineering decisions to financial outcomes
