As a Director of Engineering you will play a key role in leading our engineering teams to design build and deploy innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. This is a highly visible and dynamic role that requires a strong technical background excellent leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.

• Engineering Leadership: Lead and manage engineering teams to design build and deploy innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

• Technical Strategy: Drive the technical roadmap for our engineering teams to ensure we are using the latest technologies and best practices to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Reliability & Observability: Ensure the stability and performance of our systems and applications to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and ensure we are delivering solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

• Technical Debt Management: Act as a technical leader to ensure we are managing technical debt effectively and delivering high-quality solutions to our customers.

• Communication: Communicate technical ideas and solutions to non-technical stakeholders to ensure we are delivering business outcomes.

• Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve our engineering practices and processes to ensure we are delivering high-quality solutions to our customers.

• Strategic Planning: Help develop and execute the strategic plan for the engineering organization to ensure we are delivering business outcomes and meeting the evolving needs of our customers.

• Experience: 5 years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a high-growth technology company.

• Expertise in Distributed Systems: Proven track record of building and operating large-scale mission-critical backend systems in the cloud.

• Operational Excellence: Deep understanding of SRE principles cloud cost governance and the technical lifecycle of complex platforms.

• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.

• Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to changing business requirements and priorities.

• Culture Fit: Strong alignment with our company values and culture.

• Languages/Frameworks: Java Kotlin Spring Boot.

• Infrastructure: AWS (EKS S3 SNS SQS KMS).

• Data & Messaging: PostgreSQL Kafka Airflow.

• Operations/CI/CD: GitLab Grafana Loki.

For cash compensation we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function level and geographic location benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors as well as candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the identified range.

This role is also eligible for a bonus equity and competitive benefits.
